If you've been reading Bayou Pipeworks and something I wrote got you thinking, I'd love to hear from you. I'm Edmund Halvorsen, and I run this blog with a small crew of Houston plumbers and hydronics nerds. We're not a big corporate outfit, just folks who know the difference between a good sweat joint and a bad one, and we share what we learn here.
Most folks reach out because they've got a question about something I covered, like how to size a recirc pump for an old house in the Heights, or why their water heater keeps popping the T&P valve. Sometimes it's a sharp correction, which I appreciate because I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again. Other times, it's a suggestion for a topic we haven't touched, like repiping galvanized with PEX in a 1920s bungalow. And every now and then, a reader offers a guest contribution, maybe a deep dive on tankless maintenance or a story about a crazy sewer line repair. I'm open to that if it's honest and practical.
To reach our editorial team, just write to editors at bayou pipeworks dot com. I know that's a throwback way to do it, but it keeps things simple and spam out. I'll get back to you within a few business days. If I'm out on a job or under a sink, it might take a little longer. But I'll reply eventually. I read every message myself, and so does my partner on the blog, a retired master plumber named Cecil. We don't have a receptionist or a chatbot. Just us.
